Sean’s made a bit of progress on his Wade Wilson head he’s been working on and is almost ready to make a mold of it.
Sean’s been hard at work on his Steph Curry head.
Here’s a one-sixth scale head based on basketball superstar Steph Curry Sean’s sculpting for a personal project.
Tim’s been working on this custom Doc Savage figure for a while now and finished it up this week. The figure has a Mego body, a head started off as a Superman scale resin cast Tim found online that he customized to give it a classic Doc look. The pants are scratch created by Tim and hand sewn.
Tim had some time off over the Christmas break and put together a figure of Robin the Boy Wonder from the 1966 Batman TV series. The head is our Boy Wonder sculpt by Sean and the costume is bespoke by Tim. You can also see some of Tim’s other creations in this photo; there’s Dick […]
Here’s Sean’s sculpture of the Flash cast and on a prototype base he’s working on. I think Sean’s really captured a cool Art Deco look with the base!
The last few weeks Sean’s been working on a new sculpture for the character of the Flash. The photo here is of his sculpt cut apart so we can start making molds of all the pieces.
A few months ago Bert picked up a life-sized resin cast of Michael Keaton in his Batman costume from 1989 on eBay. The cast was really rough Bert asked Tim if he could clean it up so that I could paint it. Bert’s plan was to spray paint the cast bronze so that it would look like a metal statue. Well, apparently that wasn’t good enough for Tim and Sean, so this Christmas they surprised Bert with the bust not only cleaned up but also fully painted AND they bought a mannequin body and cut it down so that the bust would have a stable base to sit on AND ALSO bought material and added a cape too.
The bust is super-cool, life-like and a bit scary but in a good ,”I hope it keeps the burglars away” kind’a way!
We’ve begun casting our resin items a bit differently lately. Our process has always been that we degas the resin in a vacuum degasser then pour into our molds. But now once the resin is in the mold we’re placing them into a pressure pot and pressure casting them at 50PSI until the resin fully […]
