A few weeks back, a new pizzeria opened in our hometown of Decatur, Indiana. But this wasn’t just an ordinary, run-of-the-mill pizzeria — this was a pizzeria with a unique theme based on classic monster movies from Frankenstein, Dracula to Wolfman and everything in between.

This was Famous Monster Pizza.

Sean got an opportunity to visit the restaurant a before it opened with his family and loved the place, he’s been back many times since. The owner of Famous Monster Pizza, Max Miller, asked Sean about a Resin Heroes commission.

Sean set to work sculpting and realized that this was turning out to be his biggest sculpture yet and after a few weeks of work finished and was happy with the results. He and Tim then prepared the sculpture and made the molds. After the molds came pouring resin casts for assembly to allow Tim to begin painting.

But Tim wasn’t satisfied with just painting Frankenstein, he figured there was one thing missing, a cool mad scientist lair backdrop! So Tim spent time collecting materials and sculpting a backdrop, then he and Sean molded everything and made resin casts of it too.

As the figure neared completion Sean began work on sculpting Frankenstein’s essential accessory — his slice of Famous Monster Pizza that Tim painted it so that it looks just like a real slice of delicious pizza.

Recently, Tim and Sean had the chance to present the finished sculpture to Max Miller who was delighted. So delighted that he immediately placed it on display for everyone to see.
